Dear youtube, Even though this video might not be one of the most relaxing ones I still hope that you enjoy it. So first things first: I will be moving to Canada at the end of August 2012. The reason for this is the fact that I finally managed to get a job as a kindergarten/elementary school teacher at St. John's School in Vancouver, BC! *cheer* I think I had to share this piece of information with you because it will change my life quite much. Besides there might be a chance to receive some precious tips/recommendations from you if you should happen to live in Canada or perhaps have travelled there already. So as usual - thanks for watching, I'm looking forward to reading your comments/messages/whatever! :) All the best - Ken P.S. Did you like the music? It was provided by a yout...
"Hello, B.C. Ambulance here." Dispatcher Colin Terry remembers the warm sunny day last year when he took the call. "Even before I knew what was going on, I knew in her voice this was going to be something bad." Elementary school teacher Wendy Swain had taken her students out for a recess break. The children were playing, when one suddenly fell to the ground. "I hustled over and what I saw was my student looking very dead," said Swain.

Speakers include Jim Sinclair, Patti Bacchus, Glen Hansman, and Adrian Dix. Any money raised from video views will go to the BCTF/VTF strike fund.

Who are good teachers? Does your child have a good teacher? Sometimes students think that they have good teachers when their teachers don't assign homework or give tests that are easy. It's important to know that easy doesn't equal good and often students with easy teachers end up not learning in class. This raises concern for parents who worry about their children not making progress and reaching their learning potential. Tip for parents: get to know your children's teachers and make sure that they set the bar high and hold students to high standards.
